Educating the next generation of world-class researchers

We aim to educate students who will make a contribution to the world’s academic literature during their postgraduate studies and become the next generation of scientists in Turkey and abroad.

Some key facts about our graduate programs:

  • The university offers 32 master’s degree (thesis and non-thesis) and 22 doctoral programs (as of 2016) in its four Graduate Schools.
  • All graduate programs are taught in English and offered on a full-time basis (except for some programs offered in the Graduate School of Business).
  • The university welcomes over 400 graduate students each year (almost 25% are international from over 50 countries)
  • There is a growing network of graduate alumni in Turkey and abroad that have found research positions at some of the world’s top ranked universities. See where they are now
  • 73% of all admitted students receive a full tuition scholarship as well as other benefits
  • The university is encouraging the establishment of joint and double degrees at doctoral and master level (with emphasis on EU universities) in specific topics where faculty research expertise is going to attract the best international candidates.
